Hotel Review: Days Inn by Wyndham Stevenage North, Radwell, Hertfordshir...

Hotel Review: Days Inn by Wyndham Stevenage North, Radwell, Hertfordshire, England - December 2019 - https://youtu.be/clJH7Fnw8f8 .

I've just added a new film to my Hotel Reviews: England playlist, here; https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvGU73l75qxWX7koIt9nRAQ8YvA4kW8s8 of a review of the Days Inn by Wyndham Hotel Stevenage North, located near the village of Radwell, near Baldock in the county of Hertfordshire.

The hotel is located on the A1 (Great North Road) at the southbound exit junction with the A507 around 5 miles north of the city of Stevenage. The services have car parking as well as a coffee shop, supermarket, fast food outlets and a petrol station, so the facilities next to the hotel are very good.

The hotel itself is budget and basic, but it is cheap and value for money. The reception is also the bar with one beer pump and bottles in fridges.

Or room cost £40 for 1 night on a room only basis. The room was warm and comfortable, although the bed was only a standard double and not a king-sized bed. There was a double wardrobe, air-conditioning, flat screen TV, drawers, desk and ample plug sockets.

The bathroom sink was actually in the bedroom and was spacious. The bathroom had a toilet and a shower cubicle. The room was designated as being 'accessible' (at least that is what I requested), however the toilet was very low with no support bars and the shower cubicle (whilst having a seat) was up a step.

Overall for what I paid I thought that this was a reasonable hotel. I would consider staying here again in future if I was visitng this area, but if I was visiting Stevenage, I would want to stay more centrally.

Views Around Ashwell near Baldock and Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England - 22 December, 2019 - https://youtu.be/Bfvo3pvR0xg .

I've just added a new film to my Tourism: England: Hertfordshire playlist, here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvGU73l75qxVVHE0mLeKO1x0WVAqT3lA3 of views around the very quaint English village of Ashwell near Baldock and Stevenage in the county of Hertfordshire in England. The film was made just before Christmas 2019.

Ashwell is a village and civil parish situated about four miles north of Baldock in Hertfordshire. The village itself is mostly in a fine state of preservation, from the medieval cottage to the fine town house, plastered or timbered, thatched or tiled, in Tudor, Carolean or Georgian brick. To read more about Ashwell, click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashwell,_Hertfordshire .

This film features views around the village's streets including the war memorial, Three Tuns pub, Ashwell United Reformed Church and the Church of St. Mary, Ashwell.

Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Chester South, Chester, Cheshire, England - Oc...

Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Chester South, Chester, Cheshire, England - October 2019 - https://youtu.be/h5NQlVkBlDw .

I've just added a new film to my Hotel Reviews: England playlist, here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvGU73l75qxWX7koIt9nRAQ8YvA4kW8s8 of a review of the Holiday Inn Chester South located in the city of Chester in the county of Cheshire, England, filmed in October 2019.

Two of us stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for two nights in October 2019, which cost a total of £184. The hotel is located at the junction of the A55 North Wales Expressway and the A483 Wrexham Road. It is around 3 miles South of Chester city centre, which is either a taxi ride away or a journey by bus from the nearby Wrexham Road park and ride.

The hotel has a good sized car park. From the exterior, the hotel building looks unimpressive, but inside it is largely in good order. Reception and the lobby / coffee shop is welcoming.

The hotel is spread over two floors around a central garden. The buildings and layout have the appearance of a home for the elderly.

Our room on the first floor was warm and comfortable, it had a garden view, king-sized bed, wardrobe, desk and TV.

The restaurant was large and the breakfast buffet was excellent with English and continental options available.

The hotel had a swimming pool, which was nice although it seemed a little dated. The gym was small but decent.

If I was visiting Chester again, I might consider staying at this hotel again, although I may also choose a more central location.

I've just added a new film to my Hotel Reviews: England playlist, here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvGU73l75qxWX7koIt9nRAQ8YvA4kW8s8 of a review of the Mercure Chester Abbots Well located in the city of Chester in the county of Cheshire, England, filmed in December 2019.

Two of us stayed at this hotel on a room only basis for two nights in December 2019, which cost a total of £81. The hotel is located on the A41 Whitchurch Road around 3 miles East of Chester city centre, which is either a taxi ride away or a journey by bus from the nearby Whitchurch Road park and ride.

The hotel has a good sized car park. From the exterior, the hotel building looks unimpressive, but inside it is largely in good order. Reception and the bar is welcoming.

The hotel is spread over two floors but does not have a lift.

Our accessible room on the ground floor was warm and comfortable, it had a car park view, super king-sized bed, wardrobe, desk and TV. The bathroom was fully accessible with a walk in shower and toilet with supporting grab rails.

The hotel had a swimming pool, which was nice although it seemed a little cold and annoyingly was half-closed off for children's swimming lessons. The gym was decent.

If I was visiting Chester again, I might consider staying at this hotel again, although I may also choose a more central location.

Hotel Review: Christofinia Hotel, Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa, Cyprus - Septe...

Hotel Review: Christofinia Hotel, Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa, Cyprus - September 2019 - https://youtu.be/J0iKlyskTAA .

I've just added a new film to www.mosstravel.tv of a hotel review of the Christofinia Hotel in Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa, Cyprus, which was filmed in September 2019.

Two of us stayed at this hotel for one week all-inclusive in September 2019. This was a Jet2 Holidays package holiday, which also included: return flights from Leeds Bradford Airport; 2 X 23 Kg hold luggage; 2 X 10Kg cabin baggage, and; Larnaca airport transfers in Cyprus. The total price for this was £1,694 or £847 per person.

The hotel is a short 7 minute walk from Nissi Beach and is spread across two accommodation buildings with a good sized swimming pool, pool bar, indoor bar, terrace, restaurant, gym, beauty area, shop and reception.

Our bedroom (416), was modern and business-like with a large double bed. Please note that the bed was EXTREMELY hard, in fact so hard that I had back ache after only one night. I asked at reception if there was a softer mattress, and they had a mattress topper put on the bed, which largely solved the problem. The bedroom also contained a wardrobe, a safe (which cost extra to use), bedside tables and bedside British style 240V electrical plug socketts, chairs and a table, dressing table, flat screen TV, telephone, kettle, luggage storage area, a carpeted floor (good for noise insulation), no bedside lamps (poor), a fridge (with welcome sandwiches in it), air-conditioning and a balcony with a view over scrubland and a slight sea view.

The bathroom was beige with a toilet, sink, mirror and unfortunatley a horrible shower bath, this was disappointing, the year is 2019, nobody wants to sit in a bath tub in their own dirt, a shower cubicle would have been much better and safer than climbing over a bath.

The all-inclusive food was decent, although it did get a little repetitive, the drinks were good and the bar-staff were all excellent as were the waiting staff.

This film includes: a detailed review of room 416; swimming pool; hotel exterior; reception; ground floor 'rep' area; spa / salon area; gym; the indoor bar (usually only open in the evening); evening entertainment; garden; sunbathing areas; poolside bar; the restaurant, and; example breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This is a decent hotel with good rooms although the matress topper was essential for the bed to be comfortable. The food was good quality but repetitive and we did end up eating out on a couple of evenings. The all-inclusive drinks were great, service at both bars was excellent. The swimming pool was really good and never too busy, it was also a deep pool, many other hotels nearby only had shallow pools. The staff throughout the hotel were superb.

Note that this is a very international hotel with clientelle from across the globe, while we were there the guests were Russian, Ukranian, Israeli, British, Irish, Greek, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German and French. If you are looking for a 'Brits Abroad' or 'Little Britain' experience this might not be the hotel for you. If you want to go abroad and feel like you are abroad then this is a very good hotel to be in.

Review: Queen Hotel, Eindhoven, North Brabant, The Netherlands - January...

Review: Queen Hotel, Eindhoven, North Brabant, The Netherlands - January, 2019.

This film is a Moss Travel Media Production - http://www.mosstravel.tv

I stayed at the Queen Hotel in Eindhoven, The Netherlands in January 2019. A double room on a room only basis cost €351.50 for five nights, which is not cheap, but hotels in the Netherlands are often not cheap.

The hotel is excellently located in the city's main Market Square, which is a 5 minute walk from Eindhoven Centraal railway station.

Check-in was very quick and very efficient, my room 122 was on the first floor of the hotel at the back, it had no view, and I was a little disappointed by this. I couldn't be bothered requesting a room change, so I just left it as was. The room was small and comfortable, nice and warm with a good double bed. The bathroom was very good with a nice shower cubicle.

The one annoyance about the room was noise from the corridor outside, not only was it noisy listening to people coming and going from the other bedrooms, there was a cleaners cupboard straight outside of the room.

Besides the above, I very much enjoyed my stay, and I would not let this put me off staying again, but I would request to stay in another room on a higher floor with a view of the market square.

Whilst in Eindhoven, I made a small film of the city, beginning at the Railway Station and covering the the city centre, the film can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooXan938Xt0
