Crossing the High Level Bridge from Gateshead to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England - 19th February, 2018.
The High Level Bridge is a road and railway bridge spanning the River Tyne between Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead in North East England. It is considered the most notable historical engineering work in the city. It was opened in 1849, and is a 'double deck' construction, with a road on the lower deck, and a railway on the upper deck. To read more about the High Level Bridge, click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Level_Bridge .
The bridge connects the cities of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Gateshead by spanning the River Tyne beneath. This short and simple film was made on an iPhone 6S, and filmed from the carriage of a Northern Rail service from Carlisle to Newcastle Central Station as it crossed the High Level Bridge from Gateshead to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Hotel Review: Crowne Plaza, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Stevenson Quarter, England - November 2017.
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza, in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne's Stevenson Quarter in November 2017. Two of us stayed for 1 night on a room only basis, which cost £135 booked with Booking.com. This was extremely expensive, but accommodation in Newcastle on a Saturday night often is.
This was a very good quality hotel, despite the price, the location was excellent for the quayside and Newcastle Central Station.
This film features views of the hotel exterior, reception, lobby, corridors, a detailed room inspection of room 224, the gym and swimming pool.

Hotel Review, Wellton Centrum Hotel & Spa, Riga, Latvia - December 2017
Hotel Review, Wellton Centrum Hotel & Spa, Riga, Latvia - December 2017.
I stayed at the Wellton Centrum Hotel and Spa in Riga, Latvia in December 2017. I stayed for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis, which cost £188 with Booking.com.
The hotel was very good quality, and this was quite a bargain price to pay. The bedroom was warm and comfortable with good facilities including plenty of plug sockets and a well-stocked mini-bar. The room seemed very modern, the bed was comfortable and there was a double wardrobe with safe. There was also a dressing table and TV.
The bathroom was modern and clean with a shower cubicle rather than a shower bath.
The restaurant was good and the breakfast buffet was superb.
The hotel has a spa including a swimming pool, this was nice but it cost extra to use. I only used it once because of this.
The hotel is well located for Riga Old Town and also the railway station.
I would definitely consider staying here again in future.
This film features views of the hotel exterior, as well as reception, lobby, fish tanks, a detailed bedroom review, the spa, restaurant and breakfast buffet.

Hotel Review: Port Blue S'Algar Adults Only Hotel, S'Algar, Menorca, Spa...
Hotel Review: Port Blue S'Algar Hotel, S'Algar, Menorca, Spain - October 2017.
I stayed at the Port Blue S'Algar Adults Only Hotel in S'Algar, Menorca in October 2017. The hotel is located in the quiet coastal town of S'Algar approximately a 20 minute taxi ride from Menorca Airport. Two of us stayed for 4 nights all-inclusive, which cost approximately 140 Euro per night. The hotel is located near to it's Port Blue sister property the San Luis as well as other Port Blue smaller properties.
The hotel was quiet when we visited, although it was mid-October, and almost the last week of the Summer season.
The room was small and fairly basic but comfortable. It had two single beds, dressing table and chair, comfy chair, wardrobe TV and a balcony with a partial sea view and a view of the garden. The room also had air conditioning, but it did not have many electrical plug sockets.
The bathroom was clean and modern with a shower bath rather than a shower. Complimentary toiletries were provided.
The swimming pool was a good size, and is one of two at this hotel. It was always quiet, which was nice. The pool bar and staff were excellent, as was the all-inclusive food and drinks served there.
The restaurant was a good size and the food very good, although there was a problem with flies as the door to the balcony was often open. This put me off of the cold uncovered buffet items, including the fruit, salad and bread as I often saw flies on them. The a la carte menu was excellent.
The bar and drinks were all good and plentiful, no complaints whatsoever. The night-time entertainment was all good fun.
A road train connected all of the Port Blue properties around S'Algar and was free to use.
All in all this was an excellent hotel, which I very much enjoyed staying in, and would certainly consider returning to.
