Hotel review: Hotel Tanne, Ilmenau, Thuringia, Germany - June 2017.



The Hotel Tanne is located in central Ilmenau, around a 10 minute walk from the railway station.



I stayed at the Hotel Tanne in Ilmenau in June 2017, I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The hotel is very good overall, the bedroom was comfortable, although a lack of air-conditioning made the stay a little too warm at night. The room had plenty of plug sockets, a double wardrobe, a large double bed, flat screen TV, Juliette balcony, desk, two chairs, drawers, the room did not have a safe.



The bathroom was very modern, recently refurbished and very nice indeed. The shower was a walk in cubicle with no step up.



The breakfast was superb, a really good quality wide selection, one of the best that I've had.



All in all I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, my main criticism is the lack of air-conditioning, otherwise this is a very good hotel that I would recommend.
